Description:

Winner of Apple Design Award 2014

DEVICE 6 is a captivating and immersive thriller that seamlessly blends elements of gaming and literature. It cleverly intertwines storytelling with geography, creating a unique experience that combines puzzle-solving with a novella-like narrative. Set in a mysterious island castle, the protagonist, Anna, finds herself with fragmented memories and an unsettling doll. As players explore the island and uncover its secrets, they will be captivated by the enigmatic puzzles and the compelling storyline.

The game's innovative use of text as both narrative and geography is truly remarkable. With minimalistic illustrations and carefully chosen sound design, DEVICE 6 builds an immersive and atmospheric world that will stay with players long after they reach its conclusion. It strikes the perfect balance between being a game and telling a story, knowing precisely when to let the narrative take center stage.

The critics praise DEVICE 6 for its exceptional presentation, brilliant puzzles, and thought-provoking storyline. Eurogamer describes how the game lingers in the mind even after completing it—a testament to its enduring impact. EDGE lauds its ability to create a sense of place through text and visuals, calling it an essential experience. Pocketgamer commends the game's resurrection of a nearly forgotten genre with style and confidence. God is a Geek celebrates DEVICE 6 as an accomplishment in game design, emphasizing its compelling story and expert utilization of the platform. Appspy highlights how DEVICE 6 pushes the boundaries of interactive media through its exploration of narrative storytelling. Similarly, 148apps appreciates Simogo for providing both great experiences and pushing the limits of interactive media. Modojo describes DEVICE 6 as an imaginative and stylish adventure that offers an ingenious slice of puzzling.
